What does liquidation of the property regime mean?
When the property regime to which the spouses are subject ends, liquidation is made. It is the distribution of goods to the parties according to the principles of the current goods regime.
When is the liquidation of the goods regime done?
The property regime is liquidated with the end of the marriage union, that is, with the divorce or death of one of the spouses. Or, if the spouses accept a different property regime with the property regime contract while the marriage is continuing, or upon the request of one of the spouses, the property regime is liquidated by going through the court to the extraordinary property regime, if there are necessary conditions.
