1-) Our client’s application to acquire Turkish citizenship; It was rejected on the grounds that it did not meet the condition of having resided in Turkey for 5 consecutive years, backwards from the date of application, excluding education. (Annex-1) (Annex-2)
2-) Since our client’s mother is a Turkish citizen and residing in Turkey, it is clear that there is no obstacle to consider the periods of education of the plaintiff, who resides with her mother, in the calculation of the residence period.
3-) Within the framework of the issues we have tried to explain above, the obligation to file this lawsuit for the annulment of the rejection of the client’s application has arisen.
