In order to obtain a gun license, it is necessary to apply to the civil authority of the place of residence with the following information and documents:
Petition
3 photographs taken within the last year,
Health board report from public hospitals or state or foundation university hospitals stating that there is no objection to obtaining a gun license,
fee receipt,
Document showing that there is no overdue tax debt in excess of 000 TL.
WHO DOESN’T GIVE A WEAPON LICENSE?
Persons who cannot obtain a gun license are:
Those who have not completed the age of 21,
Those who have mental illness, psychological, neurological or physical inconvenience in obtaining a gun license with a health board report,
Those who are restricted and prohibited from public service,
Except for negligent crimes, those sentenced to imprisonment for more than one year,
Those who are sentenced to imprisonment or heavy imprisonment and/or judicial fine for more than two crimes of the same or different type committed at different times, excluding those committed negligently or through the press,
Tart or expelled from the Turkish Armed Forces,
Those who have been dismissed from the profession or from the civil service, or those who have been dismissed from the civil service as a result of the conviction decision,
Retired pursuant to Article 2 of Law No. 1402,
Those convicted of crimes committed with firearms,
Those who commit crimes with a licensed weapon,
Those who cause a crime or suicide or attempted suicide by others as a result of negligence and fault in the storage of the licensed weapon,
Those who fire weapons in or around a residential area or on a public road or towards this road, although it is not compulsory,
Those convicted of disgraceful crimes,
Manufacture, import or export of drugs and psychotropic substances unlicensed or contrary to the license, or attempting to do so, selling, offering for sale, purchasing, possession, transferring or taking over, consignment or transport, buying or selling or transferring drugs and psychotropic substances in any way or who are convicted of one of the crimes of being a means of supply by any means,
Those who commit a crime by using one of the sharp and piercing weapons specified in Article 4 of Law No. 6136 and are sentenced to imprisonment and/or judicial fine for this crime,
Those who do not notify the issuing authority of the situation within six months even though the reasons for issuing the licenses have disappeared (except those who pay the administrative fine),
Those who carry firearms in places where it is forbidden to carry firearms according to Law No. 6136,
Those who misuse the weapons registered in the inventory of the General Directorate of Youth and Sports,
They can’t get a gun license.
WHERE CAN’T FIREAMPS BE CARRIED?
There are places where the carrying and possession of weapons is prohibited. These places are as follows:
Hearings, courtrooms, psychiatry departments of the hospital, mental hospitals, prisons and detention centers and all kinds of correctional and execution institutions or their annexes,
Dormitories where students live collectively, education and training institutions, indoor and outdoor meetings of political parties, authorized or unauthorized meetings and demonstrations, unions, associations and places directly related to their structure or their meetings and congresses, all kinds of sports events and events. places where competitions are held, workplaces where strikes and lockouts are held in accordance with the law or against the law,
The main buildings of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey and the places specified by the Presidency of the Assembly,
It is not possible to carry weapons in these places, even if they are licensed.
